BTC Justice Program

The BTC Justice Program supports individuals involved in the criminal justice system, with a primary focus on Indigenous youth and adults. This program includes:

  • Aboriginal Court Worker Program: Provides culturally sensitive assistance to individuals navigating the justice system, ensuring fair treatment and promoting understanding of legal rights, responsibilities, and options.

  • Alternative Measures Program: Offers restorative justice solutions such as mediation and community-based sentencing alternatives, allowing offenders to take accountability and avoid a permanent criminal record.

  • Family Court Worker Program: Assists families in understanding their rights and options when navigating criminal and family law matters, offering court support and referrals to essential resources.

  • Community Justice Worker Program: Promotes restorative justice practices, including healing circles, offender accountability programs, and community mediation to foster reconciliation and reduce recidivism.

By bridging cultural and linguistic gaps within the justice system, the BTC Justice Program plays a vital role in reducing barriers and supporting restorative justice for Indigenous communities.

SITAG Program

The SITAG Program (Saskatchewan Indian Training Assessment Group) offers comprehensive employment services designed to empower individuals to achieve career success.

Key features of this program include:

  • Skill Development and Training: Access to workshops, hands-on training, and mentorship to help community members enhance their skills.

  • Career Planning and Employment Support: Resources and tools to guide individuals in finding meaningful employment opportunities.

  • Employer Partnerships: Longstanding relationships with local businesses to create pathways to employment and address workforce needs.

  • Pre-Employment Training: Foundational support to prepare participants for long-term career development and economic independence.
